What a ceramic coating actually does
A coating is a thin layer of silicon-dioxide that bonds chemically to your clearcoat. Once cured, it gives you four real-world benefits: water sheets off rather than beading and baking, dust and pollen don't grip, light scratches polish out more easily on the next visit, and the paint stays glossier for longer.
What it is not: a bulletproof shield. Stone chips, careless car-park doors and tar will still mark paint. Coating just makes everyday maintenance dramatically easier.
How we apply it
- Day 1 morning. Detailed wash, wheel-arch deep clean, iron-fallout decontamination, tar removal, clay-bar polish.
- Day 1 afternoon. Single-stage machine polish with RUPES BigFoot to remove fine swirls and prepare a uniform surface.
- Day 1 evening. IPA wipe-down to strip polishing oils, panel inspection under LED light.
- Day 2 morning. Coating layer applied panel-by-panel inside the climate-controlled booth.
- Day 2 afternoon. Curing under IR lamps, second layer if quoted, optional matte top-coat on plastics.
